TIB738 - ValueJet 1638UH_Replace the wiper assy

There has been a modification to a spare part for the VJ-1638UH. The replaceable cleaning wiper assy has been modified to make replacement easy for end-users.

If the machine uses US11 (flex/soft) ink, it is possible that the condition of the cleaning wiper affects the print quality.

Therefore we recommend that the user replaces the cleaning wiper once per 6 months.

We added the new cleaning wiper holder + rubber to the supply list. For the serial numbers, supply list and the replacement procedures, please check the

explanation listed below. Also, please inform the end-users about the new spare parts and replacement procedures. We prepared the new spare parts for units equipped with the old wiper.

Please look at the replacement procedures.

As of following serial numbers, the printer is already equipped with the new assy

Note

The new wiper system will be included in the yearly maintenance kits (DG-47766).
The current wiper assy's doesn't need immediate replacement as the current ones will work just fine. This can be done during the yearly maintenance.
Furthermore, parts will be available for replacement when the Flex / Soft inks are introduced.

Note This change will be implemented on above mentioned models as soon as possible. The current spare parts in stock are already from this new revision.
