XpertJet 1682WR 8 color mode (unchipped only)
How to change the printer to 8 color mode:
- Boot the printer in Diagnostics Mode
- Navigate to Parameter/Update
- Navigate to "Color" and select 7 or 8.(Any choice except 'Auto' or '4' is OK)
These are the color recommended allocations:
Slot 1: Magenta
Slot 2: Lm (Most logic is to put here your 6th color)
Slot 3: Cyan
Slot 4: Lc (Most logic is to put here your 5th color)
Slot 5: Black
Slot 6: Cl (Most logic is to put here your 8th color)
Slot 7: Yellow
Slot 8: Lk (Most logic is to put here your 7th color)
