TIB 865: XPJ-1341xR-P _ Possible malpositioning of the cover gasket

Dear Customer,

we have been informed by the factory that there is a slight possibility that on some units the EMC gasket between the main body and the rear paper guide might have fallen off during assembly.

During assembly the gaskets were attached to the back of the left and right sides of the paper guide by means of double-sided backing tape. It appears that on some units this gasket fell off during the attachment of the paper guide to the main body.

As a countermeasure, the assembly procedure has been changed and the gaskets are now being placed onto the main body.

Even if the gasket is being pushed inside the groove by the paper guide during assembly there is no problem since the EMC characteristics will remain valid in this situation.

On units with serail numbers prior to these you might want to check the position of the gasket when visiting the units for servicing or repairing.
