We all encounter a moment that we need to send files or attachments which are too large to send by traditional e-mail.
When sending e-mails, it is good practice to limit the file-size of e-mail attachments up to 10 MegaByte as absolute maximum. Furthermore e-mail attachments should preferably be embedded in a zip-file in particular when the files are not images or documents but files containing "executable code". In these cases, they might even risk to be blocked by firewalls on the way so they get lost in the process because they potentially may cause a security risk. This is very inconvenient.
If you work directly through our customer support-portal to contact us and you wish to include large files with your message, you can easily drag & drop up to 20 MegaByte of files directly within the ticket of your request.
If, however, you wish to transfer even much larger files to a Mutoh contact above 20 MegaBytes then we recommend to use an external file-transfer service like WeTransfer
This free service enables you to transfer extremely large files up to 2 GigaByte.
| IMPORTANT In the past we encouraged to use our MUTOH account on WeTransfer. Due to changes in the WeTransfer platform, the Mutoh account is only useful for Mutoh Europe (as a login is required). As an external user, we kindly request NOT TO USE the URL "MUTOHEUROPE.WETRANSFER.COM" any longer! If you wish to use this service to transfer very large files to us, please use the "regular" free transfer service through the following URL: https://wetransfer.com/ |
If you wish to know more how to use the regular WeTransfer service, please check the following tutorial:
