These printer models can directly print on multiple small and thick objects. When printing on such materials you should avoid ink-mist, drops or ink-splashes. Before starting to print on these objects, please read the following instructions below carefully in order to avoid any of these issues.
Important reminders
|
Select "Off" in te vacuum fan menu
If a vacuum fan is not required to hold an object on the table, select "Off" in the vacuum fan menu. For example:
- when an object can sit stable on the table
- when using a jig to hold an object stable on the table
Print height differences on the printing area
When printing on uneven or curbed objects, the difference in height between the highest and lowest point of the printing area must be less than 2mm.
If the printed image looks blurry or fuzzy, check the following settings:
- Head height
- Printing area
- Media placement location
Non-printing area when using a jig / printing-mould
When doing borderless printing or when you print a highly curved object, a jig or mould should be used to mask the areas that you do not want to print. The complete surface of the printing-area should always be on the same "height" as the printing object itself.
When using a jig, make sure to check the points below:
- Align the height of the jig and printing area of the object. The gap between the jig and printing area should be as small as possible. Failing to do so, may result in ink drops or stains.
- To avoid ink stains on the table, create a jig with the same size as the maximum media-size. (VJ-426UF/XPJ-461UF: (W)483 mm x (D)329 mm, VJ-626UF/XPJ-661UF: (W)483 mm x (D)594 mm).
- The total weight of objects and jigs on the table must not exceed the maximum weight allowance: (VJ-426UF: up to 4kg, XPJ-461UF up to 5 kg, XPJ-461UF with vaccum table installed: up to 4kg, VJ-626UF/XPJ-661UF up to 6kg, )
- When creating a jig, choose materials that do not reflect UV light (for example a black surface with matte finish is ideal: black absorbs light efficiently)
