1.07
Changed features
- Changed cartridge pin detection operation during ink sequence.
When the pin is detected during ink sequence, it will give “NearEnd”, however, the pump doesn't stop. Now, for ink filling, little filling, the initial cleaning, and cleaning, before the sequence starts, it would check the pin. When the pin is detected, immediately it will give “INK END” and the suction will not start. - Ink sequence recovery processing is added.
During initial ink fill sequence, the user had to be careful not to interrupt with the sequence (cover open or empty cartridges). Now, some recovery processing is added in case these interruptions would still occur. - Origin setting value
During inputting the origin setting value (X: 00000mm Y: 0000mm), after the lever UP/DOWN, with FW V1.04, you need to the top of menu with Cancel key to have “Media initial” display. => Now it's like FW V1.03 after the lever UP/DOWN, immediately “Media initial menu” will appear.
Bug fixes
- Feeding problem
- There used to be a problem when performing a manual feed at the user menu Bi-D pattern. This problem is now fixed.
- During feeding without printing, even if pressing “CANCEL” key, it won't stop until finishing feeding. This problem is now fixed.
- Via set 9: origin setting, the origin of the print can be changed. If this origin value is more than 15 meter, the feed direction becomes reverse, this is now fixed
- CR maintenance
CR maintenance sequence in combination with panel up/down key: Bug fix. - Effect overlap
Effect overlap modification mistake => corrected - Bi-D print problem
Cancelling a bidir adjust print in combination with setting "set 7 : take-up" set to "type1" may cause the printer to hang. This is now fixed.

Bug fixes FW 1.04 ==> FW 1.05
- Parameter ALL print head rank default indication
Even after the head rank value is changed, the original default had still the "*" mark. This problem is now fixed. - Manual feed
There used to be a manual feed problem. This problem is now fixed. - Malfunctioning keys
When the front cover is open/close and you "restart" the printer and the maintenance cover R is still opens/closes, the panel message remains "Maintenance cover R is open". No panel key works. This problem is now fixed. - Narrow width media
When loading a narrow width media, and the panel setting is set to Media Flush ON, the print margin at the left side (not-origin side) was bigger. This problem is now fixed. - Bi-D adjustment print
After printing a Bi-D adjustment pattern, it kept on feeding media. This problem is now solved. - Head temperature
Improved monitoring of the head temperature. - Aging CR motor
In diagnostic mode, after nozzle check, when executing Aging CR motor, unexpected media feed happens. This problem is now fixed. - Media detection error
During the media detection error, CR maintenance problem. When it gives the media detection error and executes Panel menu: CR maintenance, the carriage moves to the maintenance position and without having wait for ENTER key input, it immediately caps in. => fixed - Media initializing
In diagnostic mode, during the media initializing, when selecting "cleaning menu", the machine freezes. This problem is now solved. - Setting the Take-up
When the take-up system is set to "enabled", and a Bi-D pattern is printed, it feeds media. This has been changed to: When setting the take-up system to “enabled” and a Bi-D pattern is printed, it doesn’t feed any media.
Bug fixes FW 1.05 ==> FW 1.06
- Media feed
Media feeding fine adjustment => corrected - Effect overlapping problem countermeasure
When effect is set (except None), during printing there was the possibility of CPU error. This problem is now fixed. - Waste tank full
Improved “Waste tank full” sequence. When the machine displays "waste tank full / ink end" during cleaning, CR is left out as "cap-out" status.
1. Before the suction/ power flushing, if the error is already appeared, it will wait until all errors are cleared.
2. During suction when the waste tank full / ink end occurs, it will do the air suction and wait as "cap-in" status until error is cleared. - Disabled ENTER key
Under the following conditions, pushing cleaning button - Enter 2 seconds - doesn't start the cleaning sequence. (after this, Enter doesn't work)
- During the mechanical initializing
- During the media initializing
- During "cover open"
- During "lever up"
When this happens, press Enter for 2 seconds to disable the cleaning.
1.04

- Sporadically a CPU error could be generated. This problem is now fixed
- Sporadically a warning (buzz) for INK end could fail. This problem is now fixed.
- If performing a CR maintenance while holding the “CANCEL” key, a head lock release problem could occur. This problem is now fixed.

Countermeasure for CPU error when printing larger than 1200mm width in Quality2. - Cleaning key
Direct cleaning key sometimes did not work. This problem is now fixed. - Ink leakage
Ink leakage occured due to flushing inside of the capping. This problem is now fixed. - Pump count
In the lift time, the pump counter did not decrease. This problem is now fixed. - Printer freezes
When performing a Bi-D adjustment, there was possibility the printer freezes. This problem is now fixed. - Head lock

Data print position is shifted. This problem is now fixed. - Setup list
When printing the setup list, the “+” was not printed with the User media name. This problem is now fixed. - Origin
When the machine is set to Origin, it did not take the PF position into account. This problem is now fixed. - Print fine adjustment
The print fine adjustment value was not stored properly. This problem is now fixed. - Cap position
When opening the cover during a head wash, the cap position was shifted. This problem is now fixed. - Flushing
When performing a regular flushing, it might flush outside of the capping. This problem is now fixed. - Over current
A countermeasure has been made for over current when you manually cap-in after CR maintenance. - Memory leak

1. "Effect mode"
In the "Effect mode" the following settings have a changed name
- Fine&Wave3 changed into Fine&Fuzz1
- Fine&Wave4 changed into Fine&Fuzz2
There are also two new features added:
- WOW1
- WOW2
The effect menu is now as follows:
2. Printing width
The maximum printing width changed. According to the specifications, the maximum media width is 1371 mm. This changed to a maximum printing width of 1355 in Uni-D and 1336 mm in Bi-D.
3. Banner 4 mode
In banner 4 mode, variable dot is supported.
4. Roll end
The roll end was not detected at the feed processing of the media detection. this is now corrected.
5. Modified "Media flush" setting range
New implementation ==> Set 3: Flushing
If the parameter is set to “on media”, a returncount parameter sets the frequency of returning to the flushing box during printing.
Parameter | Range | Function |
Returncount | -999 ... 5 ... 999 | -1: returns to flushing box every print head movement, no flushing on media. 0: No flushing done during printing 5: returns to flushing box every 5 print head movements, flushing on media. |
6. Network error
During printing a fatal lock up situation could occur between the network card in the workstation and the printer. This problem is now solved.
7. Lever up
When the lever is up, no more CR lock release is possible.
