TIB 849: RJ-900X and VJ-628-series Revised PF Encoder assy

Modified on Mon, 23 Jan, 2023 at 11:44 AM

The PF encoders that were previously used on the models RJ-900X, VJ-628 and VJ-628MP have been discontinued and have been replaced by new part numbers.

Old numbers can be ordered until depletion of stock.

Extra information:

  • The encoder and cable were integrated parts and consisted of one part number. The revised parts are 2 separate parts with each their own part number.
  • The direction of the encoder light in the revised part is opposite to the previous version. As a result the the PF encoder scale should be installed in the opposite direction.
  • Old and new versions are not compatible due to the difference in mounting.
  • When replacing a defective old version encoder with a new one then a "replacement kit" (see further) needs to be ordered since these contain the correct mounting plate and screws.
  • Obsolete models as RJ-900X(G) have the previous version mounted so when the encoder gets defective the kit needs to be ordered. Once this kit has been installed future defective parts can be ordered as new versions.

Cut-in serial numbers:

The new parts are installed as of following serial numbers:

  • RJ-900X-U1: HB4W000423
  • VJ-628: HH1U001944
  • VJ-628MP: IO1U000329
