How can one read out the ValueCut sensor values (H & L values) of your reference marks?

Modified on Thu, 28 Feb, 2019 at 4:40 PM

H: value of your media surface

L: value of your printed reference marks

Procedure

- Make sure the plotter is Offline

- Press the Misc button, and scroll your menu until the menu AAS Offset is displayed

- Now press the Offset button

- Make sure Select AAS selection Mode – manual

- Jog towards your reference mark origin point (tool reference > LR corner of your reference mark)

- Start your reading

If a successful detection took place, both H and L values will be displayed.

If no contrast can be detected during scanning, as a result a FAIL message will be displayed.

Some attention points that might help you to overcome such a reading problem could be:

- adapt the width of you reference mark legs (ex. 1mm > 2mm)

- try using another vinyl

- try using another print mode (Higher Quality print mode)

- to avoid silvering effects, perform from time to time a sheet off

Note: instead of the previous fixed threshold values in our older firmware versions, a variable threshold point will now be determined during scanning.

Because of that variable determination, the reference marks need to be scanned twice.
